New Attractions at Sentosa, Singapore

New Travel Attractions

As a top Sightseeing Location in Singapore, Sentosa’s 500-hectare space is filled with numerous attractions that serve every type of visitor. Management at this favorite holiday spot are constantly revamping existing attractions and creating wonderful new reasons to visit. Worth highlighting are the following.

Take a ride on Singapore’s iconic cable car that is now bigger, bolder and bejeweled after a major makeover. A stunning fleet of 67 metallic black and chrome cabins will take you from Mount Faber on the mainland to Sentosa island offering a 360- degree bird’s eye view of lush greenery on the hilltop, the harbor and the city, all from 120 meters above sea level. At night, each cabin is illuminated by jewel LEDs, creating a sparkling effect as they zip through the black canvas of the night sky. The lavish interior includes large panoramic windows, flip-up seats, which can accommodate 8, a 12.1” LED interactive touch screen infotainment system with 8 language options and a removable table with cup-holders for Sky Dining. Wheelchair and pram friendly facilities are also available. The new Jewel cabins are popular for special occasions like weddings, birthdays, anniversaries and company events.

The world’s largest and Singapore’s only indoor skydiving simulator took flight on Sentosa in May 2011. With a transparent wind tunnel offering spectacular views of Siloso Beach and the South China Sea, iFLY Singapore will offer the adrenaline-pumping sport at a flying height of 17 meters (five storey’s), complete with state-of-the-art safety innovations. Trainers will be on hand to guide flyers through the experience. With a minimum age of three and above, iFLY Singapore promises to be a thrilling and engaging leisure sport for the whole family. The latest additions to Sentosa’s comprehensive transport network, the Sentosa Boardwalk, is set to enchant guests with the first garden-themed boardwalk in Southeast Asia to feature tropical landscapes, indigenous to Singapore. Hikers will also witness a panoramic view of the harbor as they stroll along the canopy-covered travellators towards the Sentosa Visitor center.

Sentosa presents the only luge in Southeast Asia. Part go-cart, part-toboggan, pure excitement – the luge is a fun- filled gravity ride that’s safe for all ages. The unique steering and braking system allows fun-seekers to make the ride as leisurely or as exciting as they want.

As a part of a new development opened last year, the Palawan Walk will provide additional points of accessibility for visitors. Featuring an 800 meter landscaped walkway linking Siloso Beach Station to the restaurants and food courts situated on Palawan Beach, the centerpiece of Palawan Walk will be a family play area. The 9000 sqm venue will house dinning and shopping outlets, a splash-zone, a kids club and several themed areas for picnics and leisure activities.
